World Teachers' Day: Monday, October 5, 2020
Let them know how much you appreciate the critical work done every day by sending an email, a card, a message,or shout out, and please keep us all in your prayers. At Saint John XXIII, we recognize all staff as teachers, as everyone at our school helps the learning process. Please recognize the many "teachers" your child encounters each day.
A special thank you to all our Saint John XXIII teachers on World Teachers' Day!
Parents please continue to use the parking lot safey. Friday pm was a dangerous time after school. Staff will be out this week to remind parents of our parking lot protocols to keep all students staff. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment.
Meet our Team SJXXIII-Each week we will highlight a few staff members so you can get to know our crew!
Meet some of our Pathways Team
Mr. Kris Szydlowski-Pathways Teacher
I’m Mr. Szyd (pronounced sid) and this is my first time teaching at St. John, though I’ve had an opportunity to work at other schools in the Division. I am a recent graduate of the University of Alberta for Elementary Education, and am very excited to be teaching in the Pathways Program! I love to learn as much as I love to teach and I am a kid at heart. I am quite difficult to catch in a game of tag (try me!) and when I’m out on a walk I like to imagine all the spots spiderman could web from. I am happily married and have three awesome daughters, aged 8, 6 and 3.
Some things that bring Mr. Szyd joy:
My family brings me joy. Playing any kind of sport brings me joy. Borrowing a new book from the library brings me joy. And kids- kids definitely bring me joy.
