Monday Morning Memos - September 12 - September 16, 2016
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, BLINK, Monday...
Happy National Day of Encouragement Day! What a better way to start a Monday than on National Encouragement Day! SO....YOU'VE GOT THIS!!
Although we are only at the beginning of school it is important to remember to keep the same positive energy you had the first days of school. You all are amazing teachers and I love seeing the joy in your students' eyes when you engage them in learning each day.
Thank you for all you do each and every day! Hang in there...Friday's coming! Let's pass the encouragement on, to our students, and to each other!
Here is a great article from Edutopia on staying positive in trying times: http://www.edutopia.org/blog/teaching-staying-positive-trying-time-heather-wolpert-gawron
I wish you all a WONDERFUL week #BeTheSpark

United Way Donations
Thank you to Melanie Matthews for chairing this committee. The reason I donate to United Way is all the money stays here in the Midlands. I donate to Women in Philanthropy because that money is specifically designated to help women and children. One nice feature of donating to United Way is that you have a say in where your money goes! I encourage you to donate whatever you can. At the VERY least I know we can do 100% donation from CFA. We are small, but we are mighty and you always pull through!
Melanie, with Monica's assistance, has developed a list of incentives which she has emailed to you, but I will include them here as well. From Melanie:
Today is only the 2nd day of our United Way campaign and we are on our way to meeting our 100% participation and $2000 goals! (For those awesome jean WEEKS!!!)
Don't forget the personal giving incentives --- $50 -$99 for ONE early leave pass and $100 or more for TWO early leave passes!! $500 or more gets a BIG SPECIAL!!!!
I don't have the number of paycheck withdrawals or employee ID numbers yet, but will let you know as soon as I do!
Thanks for making this our BEST United Way campaign EVER!
MAP Schedule
I feel confident that you have already checked to make sure you know your user name and password for the NWEA website. As always, you WILL NOT create your test session. I have already created it for you. And...as a reminder, you will go to Test Session and uncheck the box that says "created by me" and enter my name in the "created by box." Once you start typing my name it should automatically pop up. Here are your test session names. Make sure you click on the correct session please - Especially those doing small groups because I sent up both Monday and Tuesday test sessions so double check the DATE. Thanks!!
