In Venezuela for Christmas
There is Christmas music is "Gaita" music. Played by a guitar with 4 strings and two diffrent types of drums. They also have some carols but not like ours. Midnight mass the day before Christmas is very popular. Main presents are given at midnight on Christmas Eve. Presents are brought by St Nicolás and Baby Jesus. People would also paint there houses two to four weeks before Christmas so the houses would be ready to be decorated.
Some decorations
In Venezula some homes will have Christmas trees but are normally the artificial ones like pine trees. The Nativity scene is a major part, very popular way more popular than the Christmas trees.
Traditional foods
Pan De Jamon
A type of bread that's made with puff pastry filled with ham rasins olives and bacon shaped like a Swiss roll.
Hallacas
A mixture of beef pork chicken and olives wrapped in maze and plantain leaves and tied up with a string into a parcel and then boiled and steamed afterwards.
Pernil
Not as common to eat but all it is,is pork.
