What's going on at Cumming Elementary? 5/9/16

A Message from Mrs. Pajerski

Thank you very much for your continued support this school year. As we approach the end of the school year, we wanted to remind everyone of a couple of safety and school policy related issues. School begins at 7:40 each day. Students are to be in their classroom at that time. Please be sure to drop your student(s) off in plenty of time to avoid being marked tardy. Should you be late dropping your student(s) off, it is required that you park your vehicle and walk your student(s) into the building. Students should NEVER be allowed to walk through the parking lot or cross the busy bus lane in the front of the school alone. Cars should NEVER be left unattended when not in a parking space.

Providing a safe school environment for all students is our top priority. Please assist us by following school and system safety policies designed to ensure student safety.

We appreciate your cooperation!

Field Day

Field Day is THIS Thursday, May 12! The P.E. Department has put together another fun-filled day of games and activities. Field Day t-shirts should be delivered today and any extras will be sold beginning tomorrow morning for $10. If you would like to be part of the Field Day fun and volunteer at a station, please contact Coach Richard (crichard@forsyth.k12.ga.us)

Please note: Sunscreen is to be applied AT HOME before school. Teachers can not apply. There will be a first aid station out on the field and in the gym with ice packs and band aids.

Digital Learning Day

Forsyth County Schools will be participating in Digital Learning Day on Wednesday, May 18. Teachers will post assignments in itslearning that students will access during the day! If your student has a device that can be used for BYOT, please make sure they bring that device to school on May 18.

News from the Cafeteria

As we come to the end of another school year, Forsyth County Food Services will no longer allow Negative charges to student accounts effective after meal service on Friday, May 6th 2016.

To ensure that your child can continue to enjoy school meals or to clear your student’s account of any negative balances, please send a payment (cash or check) to the school, or visit WWW.MyPaymentsPlus.com, to make a payment online.
