PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Spry Families,
Summer vacation is ending soon. I hope all of you had a great summer. We can’t wait to see all the students on the first day of school, Wednesday, September 8th. Spry staff have been diligently getting the building ready for opening day. Teachers have participated in summer workshops and Superintendent’s days to prepare their classrooms, develop lessons, and refine their craft. We are ready to welcome the 2021-22 school year with all of your children on the 8th.
A few reminders that will help to make the opening day a great one for your child(ren).
Let them know we are here to help them. Staff and 8th grade WEB Leaders will be ready to assist students as soon as they arrive.
Let them know that the WEB Leaders will be wearing blue shirts and they can help with lockers and directions.
They do not need to run to classes, we will give them time and help to find their rooms.
Have your child ask if they need any help.
Pick out the outfit the night before.
Have the bookbag packed the night before.
Be sure to have their Chromebook charged and bring their charger.
Eat a good breakfast either at home or breakfast will be served starting at 8:15am in the Spry Cafetorium.
Breakfast and lunch are both free to begin the school year.
Bring a water bottle. Drink water throughout the day.
Bring a mask and wear it over your nose and mouth.
Let them know we are excited to see them.
If you are dropping off and picking up your child, please be patient and follow the drop off and pick up procedures. It is with utmost importance that you do not speed around another car. We need to keep our children safe as they exit and enter their vehicle.
Please reach out to any of us if you have any questions. Together, We’ve Got It!
Sincerely,
Jackie Saunders

AGENDAS
STUDENT PLANNERS FOR 8TH GRADERS
Attention 8th Grade Parents:
Even though high school is still a year away, we want to make sure students are prepared not only academically, but with regards to our essential skill of self-management and organization as well. Therefore, 8th graders will not be receiving agendas this year. The high school does not supply agendas, so we would like to support 8th graders during this transitional year to find the best way to organize themselves.
Students may buy their own planner, but we are also providing some resources to support their organization as well. Please use any of the links below for agenda templates, as well as a link to a tutorial about using Google Calendar.
