Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone! I apologize for the late email; I lost track of time. I hope you enjoyed your week off. My favorite part about this holiday season was definitely the extra time I got to spend with Ben and the boys. It was truly a gift! How about you guys? How was your Christmas and New Year's?

Any New Year's Resolutions? As for me, I read a blog on New Year's Eve that helped me cast a vision of what I want my 2014 to look like. The blog ended with the phrase, "only love today". I thought to myself, "That's it! If I want to reflect Christ more in the coming year I need to remind myself in every action, decision and relationship (especially with my kids and husband) to choose love FIRST." I plan to put this phrase beside my bed, on my bathroom mirror, on my front door and on my desk at work so that when I get out of bed, when I'm getting ready in the morning, when I leave my house and when I arrive at work that I am reminded to choose LOVE. And when I choose to LOVE, I want to LOVE as it is defined biblically. I've decided my verse for this year is 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

What about you guys? What are your New Year's resolutions or desires for 2014? I'd love to hear about them.

I believe everyone is here this week with the exception of Deb. If anyone else is not going to make it, could you send me a quick email today so I can come up with a plan for tomorrow.
