REFLECTIONS FROM YOUR PTSA
A LOOK BACK:
- Thank you to our 5th Graders & their families who joined us for our Spooktacular Fun Night in October. The night was filled with games, music, friends and of course... candy!
- We would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Karen Varricchio who organized the Shopper's Showcase event on 11/11. It was a huge success and a wonderful fundraiser for the PTSA. Thank you, Karen, for your hard work! Thanks also to our vendors as well as everyone who came out to support these local businesses!
LOOKING AHEAD:
- We are planning TWO family fun nights! One for our UPK/K students and another for our 1st/2nd graders. If you would be interested in assisting with these events, please email us.
- Be sure to apply for or renew your existing BJ's Wholesale Club membership using the forms that were sent home with students. The deal can't be beat & directly benefits the PTSA. Click here for the 2017 enrollment form. Deadline is 11/17!
- We are working on continuing a strong digital presence this year using online membership enrollment, eNewsletters, Sign-Up Genius, Twitter and Facebook. Follow us @CanandaiguaPTSA and please share our information with your friends!
We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. We are truly thankful for the support from our members, our schools, our students & our community, because together we can accomplish so much more!

Community Reading Partnership
Help spread literacy in our community! A Volunteer Bookshelf Supervisor is needed by the Community Reading Partnership to oversee “Guardian” volunteers who stock 15 to 20 active Little Red Bookshelves in the Canandaigua area with free books.
This person should be reasonably familiar with children’s books and able to oversee the processing of books donated at locations in Canandaigua schools. The Bookshelf Supervisor sits on the Community Reading Partnership Board which meets monthly at the library.
To express interest, contact CRP President Mary Ferris, c/o Wood Library, 134 North Main St. Canandaigua, NY 14424 or email CRP at communityreadingpart@gmail.com
