As we head into Thanksgiving break, we hope that you find time to relax, unwind and enjoy this extended time off. We have a lot to be thankful for in DPS 109, and on that list is the fact that we have been able to keep kids in school all year. Other districts in Lake County have not been as fortunate, with some having to take an adaptive pause from in-person learning. As COVID-19 case counts rise at the county and state levels, please remain vigilant:

  • Help yourself to those leftovers while continuing to observe social distancing.

  • Follow the guidance of health experts.

  • Get tested before school starts up again if you hear someone from your Thanksgiving dinner is feeling unwell.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones, from all of us at Deerfield Public Schools District 109!

Look For Voluntary Vaccination Disclosure Info Next Week

For those getting their 5-11 year olds vaccinated, at our Passport Health clinic or elsewhere, look for information next week about how you can voluntarily disclose your student’s vaccination status with the district.
