Should Animals Have Rights?
What if you knew that innocent animals are being abused and suffering each and everyday. Many people today think that animals should have the same rights as humans because of animal cruelty, dog fighting, and hunting. Some of the people who think that animals should have rights believe that animal cruelty is a form of discrimination. 64% of those animals that are abused are dogs. Many of those dogs are abandoned and/or starved to death. But, some of those dogs are involved in dog fighting. A lot of people (especially men) like to enjoy watching dogs fight until one of them cannot continue. Dog fighting has been reported in every setting of the country (suburban, urban, rural). Due to dog fighting those poor animals have to go through pain and suffering that they shouldn't have to go through. Another reason people want animals to have right is because of hunting. 40% of hunters slaughter millions of animals on public ground yearly, and many of those hunters don't even have licenses so they are killing animals illegally. Many people believe that animals should have the same rights as humans because of animal cruelty, dog fighting, and hunting. Everyday animals go through pain and suffering that they shouldn't have to endure.
