It's Almost That Time...
Greetings Spartan Families,
It is with great humility and excitement that I write this letter to welcome you to another wonderful school year! The first day of school is Monday, August 29th for all 1st through 5th grade students and I can’t wait to see the smiling faces of all of your children!
We will begin receiving children each day at 8:45am
and we begin dismissal at 3:35pm
with buses usually pulling off no later than 4:05pm.
Students arriving after 9:00a.m. will be marked tardy and
will need to enter through the front of the building escorted by an adult.
Parents are not allowed to escort their students to the classrooms. There will be many staff members present to receive students and direct them to their classrooms. In order to ease your fears and possibly have some of your questions answered before the start of school, I strongly encourage you and your child(ren) to attend our Back to School BBQ on Wednesday, August 24th from 5pm – 7pm. This will be a great opportunity to meet our staff and take a self-guided tour through the building. We will also have food, music, and games!
While this is our first newsletter of the year, the summer is not over yet!! Enjoy these next couple of weeks and be on the lookout for our next newsletter on August 19th!

Kindergarten Camp is Fast Approaching!
On August 8th and 9th, our kindergarten teachers are ready to welcome our newest scholars for two half days of fun and familiarity!
Kindergarten Camp is an opportunity for students and families to meet the teachers and see our building before everyone returns.
There will also be a Q&A portion with our administrators on August 9th immediately following drop off! :-)
If your child is already registered for kindergarten, no additional registration is necessary!! We hope to see you next week!
Kindergarten Families Only- Staggered Start!!
The first week of school will be slightly different for kindergarten students.
Kindergarten students whose last names begin with the letters
A-L will attend school on August 29th and August 30th.
Kindergarten students whose last names begin with the letters
M-Z will attend school on August 31st and September 1st.
School will be closed for all students on
Friday, September 2nd and Monday, September 5th,
with everyone returning on Tuesday, September 6th.
The goal of this staggered start is to help our kindergarteners have a smooth transition to the start of the school year.
Additional Information is forthcoming!
Bus and homeroom information will be EMAILED directly from district office the week before school starts.
School Supplies
While we provide a large number of school supplies for students, you can help us out by making sure that your child has:
pencils and erasers
one box of crayons
scissors
glue sticks
composition notebooks
folders
Upcoming Important Dates:
August 8th and 9th- Kindergarten Camp
This is an opportunity for our kindergarten scholars to get to know the teachers and the building before all the big kids return.
August 24th- Back to School BBQ
This is an opportunity to meet your child's homeroom teacher and take a self-guided tour through the building. Come join us for a night of hotdogs, games, and back to school excitement!
August 29th- First Day of School for All 1st - 5th Grade Students
August 29th and 30th- Kindergarten students with last names that begin with A-L report; last names M-Z DO NOT REPORT
August 31st and September 1st- Kindergarten students with last names that begin with M-Z report; last names A-L DO NOT REPORT
September 2nd and September 5th- Schools Closed for All Students
