A few friendly reminders to keep our students safe in the parking lot:
- Please remember that all parents and guardians are asked to park in the parking lot for drop off and pick up. There is no "drop off" line at SMS. Stopping in front of the door causes a back-up of traffic on Walnut Street, and in some cases causes others to be late. Please be conscientious and pull into a parking space to let your children out. Thank you!
- Everyone is also asked to please drive slowly through the parking lot.
Camp Hi Rock Updates
- If you have not returned paperwork for your student, please return everything Monday.
- We are all set on parent chaperones and drivers. In addition to our teachers, we would like to thank the four parents who stepped up to help out this year and who have completed all of the necessary paperwork to attend.
A Note to Parents Regarding Tuition and Incidental Billing on FACTS
Just a few reminders:
- If you need to make any changes to your payment plan for tuition or incidental billing, I need at least 72 business hours notice. Once your payment has been initiated between FACTS and the Federal Reserve, I no longer have the ability to make changes.
- If you have a payment scheduled and insufficient funds in your account, you will be charged a $30 returned payment fee by FACTS. The charge will be reattempted again in 15 days.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the office for help or email Lindsay at lindsayoneil@smsvt.info.
Boxtops are Due!
Remember, every one of those little clippings is worth 10 cents for our school. If you haven't been saving your Boxtops, we still have a few weeks!
The Saint Michael Saints High school soccer team had a busy week...
by Phil Leggiere
The Saint Michael Saints High school soccer team had a busy week with two contests, their third and fourth of the season
At home at SIT Field on Tuesday the Saints scored a big win against White Oak Charter School of Westfield, their first of the season, shutting out White Oak 10-0. Leading a powerhouse offensive effort, Ezra Christie booted in five goals, bringing his season total to eight, while Steven Borst contributed three goals and Thomas Duchaney chipping in yet two more rounding out a stellar team effort.
The Saints took to the road on Thursday heading down to Charlemont, Massachusetts to face The Charlemont School team where, on a wet and rainy day, they lost a fiercely contested squeaker 5 to 4. In the absence of offensive leader Ezra Christie, out on the disabled list along with two other Saints, the Borst brothers stepped up, with Jason scoring three goals, one a direct kick, and Stephen knocking in another. The Saints defense was led by another outstanding performance by Casey Christie as goalie and the Pierce brothers in mid and defensive positions.
Next week, hopefully with a full team back in force, the Saints will be back in action at home at SIT Field Tuesday Oct.1st at 4:00 PM hosting Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter School.
