The Eagle Express
A newsletter for families and friends of Athens Elementary!
November 8, 2017
A Note from Ms. Davis
Dear Families,
I enjoy the sounds of school! During my classroom visits I often hear partners sharing their thoughts, students sounding out words, a happy squeal when a solution is found, teachers asking thoughtful questions, supplies being passed out, and the hum of education. It's so nice to be in a place of learning.
At the top of this newsletter, we share some upcoming events! The focus at the bottom of our newsletter is celebrating our students' accomplishments. We have lots of winners to announce!
We have set a date (Nov. 30) for the first meeting of the advisory council for the computer science academy. If you would like to be a part, please contact me at cindy.davis@acs-k12.org. We want and need for parents to be an active participant in this exciting process.
If I can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to call or come by.
Sincerely,
Cindy Davis,
Principal
