Hello SSAE families,
Happy November! We hope students and families enjoyed fall break! The seasons are changing, and snow will probably be here before we know it. Please keep up to date with snow day announcements by signing up for alerts on the D49 website: Weather Conditions. This is the time of the semester when students need to buckle down and continue working on school work to finish the semester strong. If your student needs support, please reach out to your teachers to schedule times for help. There are several ways our staff provides help, including individual Zoom sessions during the week and teacher support on Fridays at school from 8:00 am-12:00 pm. Our teachers may also request that your student attend support sessions, so we ask that you partner with us in this request to help your student be successful. We have some fun activities coming up, including the High School Fall 50’s Dance on November 5th and a Career Fair on November 17th.
We are looking forward to our Annual Harvest Feast for our entire school on November 17th at 5:00 pm, our annual potluck dinner to raise funds, and food donations for Harvest of Love at Care & Share. Please join us for dinner and a chance to give thanks together.

New to Parent Portal - "Ecollect"
If you want to use this form, log in to your Parent Portal account, select the student you wish to report an absence for and then go to Forms in the left-hand menu list. Click on Student Attendance & COVID Student Health Tracking, enter the requested information, and hit Submit.
If you need your Parent Portal account username and/or password, please reach out to our Registrar, Chelly Hardman, at 719-494-8962 or email her email@example.com.
If you would rather call your child's absence in, please call Luisa Vigil at 719-494-8940, and she will be happy to fill out the form for you. If you leave a message, please include the following information:
Student name, grade, and the reason for the absence. If your student is ill, please included the symptoms and the date they began, and if it is covid related.
