Oedipus The King

King Polybus
He was the king of Corinth he had adopted and raised Oedipus as his own kind he was the real father of Alcinoe he was assumed to be killed by Oedipus his son because a sphinx had told him " when you grown you kill your father and marry your mother " . but a messenger revealed that the death was ( natural causes ).
Queen Merope
She is the queen of Corinth and the wife to the king Polybus she and him adopted a baby served by a servant and named him " Oedipus ". Queen Merope couldn't have babies so it was a wonderful thing for them to get Oedipus.
Antigone
she attempts to secure a respectable burial for her brother Polynices who dies in war involved with her other brother Eteocles. Her and her brother takes turns fighting the Thebes while trying they end up killing each other Antigone dies before Creon because states she disobeyed Creon's rules.
Ismene
Is the daughter and half sister of Oedipus the daughter/granddaughter of Jocasta sister of Antigone , Eteocles , Polynices. Ismene laments that while she too loves her brother her disposition does not allow her to defy the state and become an outlaw and Ismene then declared she had aided Antigone and wanted the same fate, though she did not participate in the crime.
Polynices
Was the son of Oedipus and Jocasta his wife was Argea they were supposed to share the kingdom in peace but they couldn't so they fought each other with a huge battle until one other died but they both died leaving no one with the kingdom besides their sisters.
Eteocles
Was the king of Thebes the name given to him as the meaning of " Truly Glorious ". By the death of their father they had a curse upon them that made it hard to stay peacefully so they had a war and polynices was murders Eteocles was saved by his uncle Creon.
Queen Jocasta
was a daughter of Menocceus, a descendant of the Spartio, and Queen consort of Thebes Greece at first she was the wife of Lauis then he died so she married her son Oedipus and both mother/grandmother to Antigone, Polynices , Ismene.
