PTO GREENERY SALE ENDS NOVEMBER 4

The annual ICCS PTO Live Christmas Greenery sale is going on now until Wednesday, November 4th. Fresh and fragrant 22” and 28” wreaths, 10’ garland, door swags and centerpieces are available for purchase. Orders can be picked up at ICCS the weekend of November 28-29, or directly delivered to any home or business in the country the first week of December.

A full list of fundraiser details and a link to the ordering website is available at www.iccschool.org (click on the Greenery Sale web banner). ICCS families earn PTO points for every item purchased or sold.

Due to Hurricanes Laura and Delta our on-line ordering time frame was significantly shortened. Please help spread the word to your family members, friends, business associates and neighbors. Sales are currently down, but we are hoping to reach our annual goal by November 4th. Proceeds from the ICCS PTO Greenery Sale are used to help fund important technology upgrades and classroom equipment and supplies for all grade levels.

FACTS PARENT PORTAL

Parents can access the FACTS Parent Portal at www.factsmgt.com. We encourage families to log into the FACTS MGT site and visit the family portal for student information pertaining to assignments and grades. These accounts were created during enrollment and accessed again this summer to update alternate departure information. The ICCS office does not have access to parent passwords, however we may be able to assist families having trouble logging in. If you need assistance please email Melissa Mathew at mbmathew@iccsweb.com

Once logged in, parents choose "Student" from the left menu to view grades and homework. Parents can toggle between their students from the "Student Home" screen.

ALTERNATE DEPARTURE PASSES

Students have received alternate departure passes. These tags are to be secured to the outside of your child's book bag. Parents with questions regarding alternate departure passes may contact Ada O'Quain at asoquain@iccsweb.com for more details.

CLASSROOM & ALUMNI NEWS

THANK YOU SACRED HEART SCHOOL

We recently received an envelope filled with kind and encouraging messages from students at Sacred Heart School in Rockport, Texas. The students and faculty members of Sacred Heart School endured Hurricane Harvey in 2017. They know exactly what our community and school families are going through at this time.

The letters are posted on a bulletin board in the ICCS lobby for everyone to see and enjoy. May God bless our friends at Sacred Heart School in Rockport, Texas! We thank them for sending their love and support all the way to Lake Charles from Texas!

MIDDLE SCHOOL ENRICHMENT NEWS

Ms. Lania Vanchiere's 7th and 8th Grade Textile Arts enrichment class recently completed an awesome yarn weaving project. The sticks used to hang the weavings are from the aftermath of Hurricane Laura. The project is titled “Sticks From The Storm" and is on display on the 2nd Floor near the Art Classroom. Check out additional photos of the project on the Immaculate Conception Cathedral School Facebook page.

PK SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

Mrs. Molly Forsyth's PK friends are focusing on colors and shapes this week. These little scientists conducted a super cool color mixing experiment yesterday. The students enjoyed the activity!

PRAYER AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS

O Mary, you shine continuously along our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the Cross were near to the pain of Jesus, keeping your faith firm.

You, Salvation of the Roman people, know what we need, and we trust that you will provide for those needs so that, as at Cana of Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this moment of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us, He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and took up our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
