Portrait of a PPPS Graduate - Evan Hendrix
This is the 20th year of PPPS!! We are going to be featuring graduates and the amazing things they have gone on to do with the great things they learned here as an Eagle! If you know someone who we could feature please reach out to Cathy (cnegrete@pvschools.net) or Kelli (ksamsill@pvschools.net) in the office.
About Evan Hendrix...
Hi, my name is Evan Hendrix, and I graduated from Pinnacle Peak Preparatory School in the Spring of 2020. I started at Pinnacle Peak in first grade and had so many amazing teachers over the 8 years that I was there. I also made many great friends at Pinnacle Peak and have been able to keep in contact with them, even after going to high school.
At Pinnacle Peak, I discovered that I loved reading and math and built confidence as a student. Currently, I am a junior at Notre Dame Preparatory High School. It is a really challenging place, but Pinnacle Peak did a great job preparing me.
Also, anyone who knows me knows I love sports. Volleyball has been my favorite sport to play since I was 7 years old, and I recently committed to play D1 volleyball at Texas Christian University (TCU), starting in the Fall of 2024. I am so excited and feel very lucky to know that I am going to TCU. It’s a relief not to have to worry about where I am going to college now, and it’s an amazing school!
The great education I received at Pinnacle Peak, going to Notre Dame Prep, and being named the #1 volleyball player in Arizona for the Class of 2024 all are helping me make my dreams come true.
Thanks Pinnacle Peak family and…..#GOFROGS!
A Big THANK YOU from Nurse Brandi

Calling All 8th Graders! Find Out More About the CREST Program at PV High School.
Eighth-grade students interested in pursuing STEM careers should attend the Center for Research in Engineering, Science, and Technology (CREST) Program Information Meeting on Oct. 3, from 5-8p.m. in the Auditorium at Paradise Valley High School (get directions). During the event, participants will learn about the CREST program offerings from alumni and current student perspectives and participate in a questions and answers session.
About CREST: CREST the Center for Research in Engineering, Science, and Technology is a four-year honors STEM program at Paradise Valley High School (PVHS). In the CREST program, students apply rigorous content knowledge in relevant and meaningful hands-on activities in three program strands: Bioscience, Engineering, and Computer Science. CREST melds academic content with industry-specific skills in a work-based learning environment. The CREST program is an attempt to answer the question: Where will the next generation of scientists, engineers, and tech workers come from?
To learn more about CREST and how to apply, please visit https://pvhs.pvschools.net/academics/crest or contact Ms. Fulk, STEM/CREST Coordinator, at pfulk@pvschools.net.
