A note from Ms. Pinkerman...
Dear Wolverine Families,
I hope this finds you well and you had a great weekend while celebrating Mother’s Day. For all of the Wolverine Moms, Grandmas, Great Grandmas, and Aunts, I hope you were reminded as to how much you are loved and appreciated.
I would like to take this time to thank you for sharing your family with me while I have been Principal at Whitney Community School. It has been a privilege to work with you as we do what is best for your child and your family. As I reflect over the past four years, I am reminded of how grateful I am to all of you. Whitney is a very special place that will forever hold a place in my heart.
Although this is a very difficult transition and during a time where there are so many unknowns, I want to assure you that your next Principal comes to you with just as much passion and dedication to doing what is best for students. I welcome Mrs. Jolene Lincoln to Whitney. She currently is the Principal at Hillcrest Elementary. She comes to Whitney with the special experiences needed to carry on the goals and dreams of families in a Community School while supporting staff to provide the well rounded learning experiences your child will continue having.
My new position is Principal of Special Programs. I look forward to this new opportunity for Special Education is another passion of mine in addition to the Community School Model. I am thankful that the Boise School District recognizes the passions of educators for that is why I was moved to Whitney.
As we finish this school year, the staff at Whitney and the Boise School District will continue to provide reassurance, nurture the relationships we have with your child and you as a family unit, and be compassionate for each other.
Thank you again for sharing your family with me.
Sincerely,
Amy PinkermanWinding Down With Whitney
