November 23-27

This week is all about Thanksgiving! We will talk about the first Thanksgiving and get ready to host you all for the Feast on Tuesday!! :)

We will read:

  • A Plump and Perky Turkey by Teresa Bateman
  • Giving Thanks by Jake Swamp

Our vote questions (one per day) will be:

  • Will you help you family cook Thanksgiving dinner?
  • Are you going out of town for Thanksgiving?

Letters of the Week

We will review the letters we have learned so far! We are almost through the alphabet!

Language Group November 23-27

We will follow directions by giving a feather to a named peer and placing our pictures in a big can or a little can. We will also follow directions placing a turkey in the named location (in, under, in front, in back/behind) and practice asking a peer the question "Where is the turkey?" We will imitate the actions and produce the words for the song/rhyme "Walk Like A Turkey".

Walk Like A Turkey

(A movement rhyme)

-by Jean Warren

Walk like a turkey,

Waddle, waddle, waddle.

Talk like a turkey,

Gobble, gobble, gobble.

Run like a turkey,

‘Round and ‘round.

But when it’s Thanksgiving,

Don’t make a sound!

We are so EXCITED for the Feast. Please keep in mind that the food that you bring will be shared between ALL THREE classes.

To ensure things go smoothly, please cut everything before bringing it to serve! Also, if you will bring serving utensils with your name marked on them that will be helpful! THANKS!
