Progress Reports
We are off to a great start in first grade!
In place of a first grade progress report, I would like to let you know about the things that have been going on here at school. Much of our work, to this point, has been done as a group and not graded. We have been doing a lot of reviewing and finding out what we remember.
We have been working a lot on ways to be safe at LES, work habits, and The 7 Habits.
In Math we are working on making 10, solving for the unknown in equations and explaining how we chose our answer. In Language Arts, we have been working on reading with expression, identifying rhyming words, whether a story is real or imaginary and writing complete sentences.
Please be aware of the homework folder that comes home daily. It would be helpful if the folder was checked daily and returned each school day. I am looking forward to visiting with you at Parent Teacher Conferences. We will visit about individual progress at that time.
