Below you will find helpful information to include course selection worksheets, course selection catalog, contact information, and other important Briscoe information. If you or your child have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Course Selection Worksheets

Please download the form below that indicates your child's grade level. Review the worksheet with your child and make the appropriate selections. Once you have done this, please email your child's counselor his/her course requests. For more information on course descriptions, please review the NISD Middle School Course Catalog (found below).

*Please note that this catalog includes course selections across the district, and not all courses are offered at Briscoe. The only courses available at Briscoe are those on the course selection worksheets.

Briscoe Helpful Information

School Time: 8:40a.m.- 4:05 p.m.

Schedule: Classes are 45 minutes in length, with the exception of 6th and 7th grade ELA block-90 minutes. Students have a 4 minute passing period.

Lunches: Free meals for all: No need to pack a lunch, as NISD will provide free, healthy meals (breakfast and lunch) this school year for all students in the District, regardless of financial status. Additional details here.

Supplies: Please refer to Briscoe Supply List by grade level. This will be posted on the campus web page closer to the start of the new school year.

Gym Clothes: All students in PE will need a uniform. Uniforms can be purchased through My School Bucks

Athletics: If your 7th or 8th grade child signed up for athletics, the below online forms must be complete prior to the first day of school. Please remember that students who sign up for athletics must commit to tryout and/or participate in at least two sports.

Dress Code: Please follow the NISD dress code as outlined in NISD Handbook. *Shorts are not allowed.

Cell Phones: Students may have cell phones, but they must turn them off during school hours. If they are using without permission, staff may collect phones and parents must come to retrieve it in the VPO office.

Transportation: Visit www.nisd.net. Click on “Boundaries and Buses” on the lower right side or call (210)398-1550 for your assigned school bus information.
