Yearbooks Have Been Distributed!

Thanks to all of the hard work from Sandra Esposito and her committee, the 2019 Yearbooks are in the hands of the students and they look AWESOME! Thanks to everyone who provided the photos and who helped to put it all together.

Congratulations to the cover contest winners. You all did a wonderful job illustrating the Vernfield theme for this year - Vernfield Elementary Where Kindness and Acceptance Grow!

Fifth Grade Picnic

The weather couldn't have been nicer for the Fifth Grade Picnic on Tuesday.

Many thanks to the committee chaired by Cindy Bleazard, Jennifer Edwards, Amy Reinford and Michelle Warshaw for all the planning and the work that went into this special day for the Fifth Grade students.

Looking Ahead: Fall Shoe Drive

Hang on to those outgrown school shoes and worn out Summer shoes and cleats when you go back to school shopping! The HSA will be holding a Shoe Drive in the Fall which we will kick off at the Back to School Bash.

For each pair of shoes you donate at the Back to School Bash, you will receive a ticket for our prize drawing. Multiple prizes will be awarded!

Be sure to mention the Shoe Drive to family, friends and co-workers. Everyone has an extra pair of shoes or two cluttering up their closet that they would love to be rid of!

We will be accepting all styles of footwear, including new, gently used, used, and unwearable shoes, sneakers, rubber soccer cleats, and rubber baseball cleats. The HSA will earn $1.00 for every pair of wearable sneaker, wearable rubber soccer cleat, and wearable rubber baseball cleat, and $0.10 per pair for all other styles and conditions of footwear.

Happy Summer

We wish everyone a safe and fun summer vacation! Look for a newsletter during the last few weeks of summer that will help you get a jump start on all of the back-to-school busy-ness!
