6th & 7th Grade Families - Help requested

Dear 6th and 7th grade Parents and Guardians,

Each year, Brooks 8th grade parents plan a dance for our graduating students and after many parents working over a few months to plan the event, the details are set and it should be a really fun night for the 200 students who are signed up to attend. It is a longstanding tradition for the 6th and 7th grade parents and guardians to be the chaperones during the hours of the dance so that the 8th grade students don't have to have their own parents there!

The dance is - Friday, May 17 from 7-9 pm and currently, we only have a few parent volunteers between 6:30 -10 pm. In order for us to be able to host the event, we need many more volunteers (including some men!) to help chaperone, supervise refreshments and clean-up. These are fun jobs and won't take much time; please consider helping to make this a special event for our 8th graders.

You can sign up for different time slots here:

    Teen Audiobook Summer Reading Program

This amazing program that gives us and our students access to free audiobooks that never expire is starting up once again this week.

HERE is the link directly to the website. This is the first week, and it goes for 14 weeks. Two FREE audiobooks are available every week to download and keep FOREVER. Once each week is over, two new books are available and the previous ones are no longer available. So you need to check each week and you can set up email reminders.

There are some GREAT titles offered this year, so encourage your kids to check it out!
