Wildcat Wisdom
Wesley Chapel High School
A message from Mr. McDermott
I hope this finds everyone healthy and excited for the new school year. This promises to be a challenging year for all. However, with positive attitudes, cooperation, and collaboration, we will have a very successful year. We have been preparing the campus to assist traditional students with social distancing, mask wearing, and hand washing guidelines. Our goal is to keep our Wildcats as safe as possible. For our students in mySchool Online, our teachers have been working this summer to ensure that the curriculum is rigorous and engaging. We are very excited to see our students again both in the traditional classroom and through mySchool Online.
We will have new expectations going into the 20/21 school year to assist in keeping our students safe. It will be important that you discuss these expectations with your student to ensure that they are practicing the safety protocols put in place.
I also ask that you all please take some time to read this newsletter. We will try to answer as many questions as possible through this newsletter. If you have further questions, please reach out to us via phone or the Let’s Talk system available at https://wchs.pasco.k12.fl.us/
As we continue to prepare for the new school year, know that we are here to work with you to ensure your student is prepared for college, career, and life. Our goal is to ensure the safety of our students while providing them with a world class education. We have worked diligently to schedule students into rigorous courses that meet both their requests and educational needs. Please know that while we have tried to accommodate all requests, with the various options this year, some requests are unavailable.
We look forward to working with you all this year to keep our Wildcats safe and on-track in pursuit of their goals.
