ESOL Audit:
Our district will have an ESL audit in December. In preparation of the audit every district employee must review the entire ESOL PowerPoint (located in Canvas – ESOL Module – 2017-2018 ESOL Overview Schools.ppt)…. While Mrs. Bright-Trout covered much of the information with us in a Tuesday afternoon meeting, we have been asked to ensure the entire presentation is shared with ALL DISTRICT EMPLOYEES. Once you have reviewed the presentation, please complete the Google Form (https://goo.gl/forms/WKsrZEdXcGiD7xdd2) indicating you have viewed and understand ESL services. This must be completed no later than Tuesday, October 31.
Additionally, we will need all classroom teachers to check their students’ permanent records to ensure EVERY child has a completed Home Language Survey. This form should be a part of the students’ registration information and should be completed; however, it can sometimes be overlooked and not completed. If you have a child that does not have a completed Home Language Survey, you will need to send a hard copy (get from Mrs. Huitt) home and have it completed. 4K and 5K students will need to have hard copies of the forms sent home to be completed. All Home Language Surveys need to be placed in your students’ permanent records no later than Friday, November 10.
