SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER
PRINCIPAL'S PLACE
This first week of school has been full of success and positive growth for so many staff and students. Relationships are being built, learning has begun, and procedures are being followed. It is so great to see the halls, classes, cafeteria, and playground filled with kids, laughter, and collaboration. This is going to be a great year! At Evergreen, we have three expectations that students are learning and practicing in all areas of the school. We continue to be kind, try, and keep safe! I am excited for this year, and know it is going to be a great one!

SCHOOL COUNSELOR UPDATES
September 2023
Dear Evergreen Parents/Guardians,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back to school. My name is Mrs. Tricia Kedrowicz and I would like to introduce myself to the new families and briefly explain my role as a school counselor to all families. I have been working in the Waterford Graded School District since 2002. I have been a classroom teacher, Math Intervention teacher, and School Counselor. I have been a School Counselor since 2013. I am very excited to be working with all of the Evergreen families this year.
My goal as a School Counselor is to help your child feel successful this year by providing a thorough program. One of the four main components of Evergreen’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is developmental classroom lessons. I will be teaching Character Education to students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. This year we are starting with the Bullying Unit through the Second Step program.
Another main component of Evergreen’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is responsive services in which I will conduct small groups throughout the school year on a variety of topics. In addition, I meet with students for short-term individual counseling. Parents, staff, and/or the students themselves may request individual counseling and/or participation in group counseling.
Every month, WGSD will be highlighting a spotlight skill. For the month of September the Spotlight Skill is: Self- Awareness. See The information below for more information about Self- Awareness.
Providing a positive educational experience for your son or daughter is my number one priority. I look forward to working with you and your child this year. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know I am happy to help. Here is my email address and phone number (Kedrowicz@waterford.k12.wi.us ) or (514-8210 x1048). Most of the information that I will be sending out this year will be done through Parent Square. Attached are some important links and information that can help you get in touch with me as well as learn more about the Counseling program, Counseling Communication. I want this to be a successful year for you and your child.
Thank you,
Mrs. Tricia Kedrowicz
