First Semester is filled with Success!

Friday is the end of the first semester and we have many successes to celebrate.

Larson is so fortunate; we have had the opportunity to have students in our building over the past two quarters, except for the Thanksgving short break, we have been open every day!

Our data (from MAP testing and Aimsweb) is showing us that students are learning and growing in leaps and bounds! We are so proud of how hard our Larson Eagles have been working so far this year--Keep up the great work!

We have had two successful Virtual Title 1 events. Although we prefer in person events, our Fall Harvest Activities and Craft Night turned out great! You can find a list of all the prize winners from our doorprize drawing on our website. Thank you to all of our teachers who posted fun instructional craft videos. The videos will remain on our website, so feel free to check them out again and again.

There is nothing like Music made by children to make your heart sing! Mrs. Bowen has gone above and beyond to post videos of classrooms brightening our day with their musical talents. Be sure and check them out on her school website page.

Pop! Pop! Pop!

The Family Teacher Association (FTA) has done it! They have raised enough money to buy a new popcorn machine! Thank you to everyone who purchased Holiday Popcorn with special surprises during our fundraiser.

Next Popcorn Friday is December 18.

Short and Sweet

Our Second Quarter Awards Assembly will be on December 16 @ 9:30 am via Zoom. This virtual assembly will be super short (15 minutes or less) with our primary focus on announcing our Golden Awards for the 2nd quarter.

Safety First

This is just a friendly reminder of the importance of Cyber/Digital Safety, especially over the winter break.

Students who have additional time, often find themselves online more frequently, so we are encouraging parents to keep watch over the content and websites your students are accessing.

All students at Larson have been taught Cyber Safety, Computer Safety and Personal Safety lessons this year.

If you have questions about any of these lessons, please contact your child's teacher or Chris Stegall our LIbrarian for more information.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

And finally....on behalf of the entire staff at Larson Elementary, we want to wish you a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and restful, peaceful winter break.

School starts for students on TUESDAY, JANUARY 5, 2021.
