What they specialize in.
Most veterinary physicians work in clinical settings, treating animals directly. They treat animals of all types like companion animals, livestock, zoo animals or equines or they specialize in narrow medicine which is surgery, dermatology, internal medicine.
Treatment and surgery
They treat disease, injuries, and disorder, which includes diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare. Depending on the level of education and experience will depend on what the veterinarian does, but they will most likely do surgery. Before they can treat the animal they have to find out what's wrong by doing scans,MRIs, and blood test.
