WIDA Testing for 6th Grade
WIDA testing for 6th Grade students will take place on Wednesday, February 1, and Thursday, February 2, 2023. Students required to participate in the WIDA test were notified this week.
There are two sessions and your child will participate in both sessions each day:
Session 1: 8:45am - 10:19am
Session 2: 12:31pm - 2:05pm.
The WIDA assess your child on English language proficiency and they are tested in four domains: listening, reading, speaking, and writing.
It is an important test, so please make to do the following:
1. Student comes to school with their Chromebook fully charged.
2. Student eats a good breakfast.
3. Please discuss the importance of this test with your child and encourage them to try their very best. Students with an overall score of 4.5 or higher, will be considered proficient and will not be required to take the WIDA assessment next year.
Please contact Ms. Carrizzo at 702-799-7470 ext. 4202 if you have any questions regarding the WIDA test.
Inappropriate Browsers on Student Chromebooks
Please remember students are not allowed to install any additional software on their school Chromebooks. These are borrowed computers and must only be used for school purposes and approved online programs from CCSD. Please help by checking your child's computer for any software that might have been added.
Students are subject to discipline if they have anything inappropriate on their Chromebook. This includes the browsers listed below.
Thank you for your assistance with this.
