Governor's School @ Innovation Park for 2020-2021 SY
The next interest meeting for current 10th graders interested in the Governor’s School @ Innovation Park for the 2020-21 school year will be December 14th, 2019. There is no sign up, just show up. Some of the minimum qualifications are to be in Algebra II/Trig or higher and to have had Biology and be in Chemistry. Other application qualifiers we will review that day and will also be on the application which comes available after Thanksgiving.
The session will be on the SciTech (Manassas) campus of GMU in Johnson Hall (formally Bull Run) Room 130 beginning promptly at 9 am on 12/14/19.

WHAT: Front of House employees will be answering phones, greeting guests, sampling product, describing and selling product. Back of House employees will be weighing, wrapping, cleaning, and preparing food.

Small Groups being offered at Woodbridge SHS!
The following groups may be offered for the 2019-2020 school year. If you are interested in participating in one of these groups, please see your counselor for a form.
1. Anger Management - Provides a supportive atmosphere in which to learn about anger and other emotions, to practice anger management techniques, and address skills to resolve conflicts peacefully and help improve problem-solving skills.
2. New Horizons/Substance Abuse - Ms. DiGiacomo, New Horizons therapist, conducts groups and individual sessions for students with issues related to alcohol and other drugs. Please return form directly to Ms. DiGiacomo.
3. Organizational Strategies/Study Skills - This is for students who need extra help getting organized for school. Counselors will help the students create their own organizational strategies time management plans.
4. Goal Setting and Work Habits – Provides a supportive atmosphere in which students learn and practice personal responsibility, goal setting, decision making, maintaining motivation; and addresses academic work habits.
