Native American Heritage Month: Classroom Library
"It is vital for students to learn Indigenous history and stories, and how our history converges. During this month, students have already learned about the importance of land acknowledgements that recognize the history of the land where we reside and to resist the erasure of the Indigenous community here where we live and across the continent. It is my hope that these books will be a resource where students can continue to learn and grow.

First Impressions
"As a teacher, I have found that one of the best ways to get students excited about reading in ELA is to make it directly relevant and creative to their learning and lived experiences. Since my middle school girls are in the phase of exploring their own unique identity as it relates to clothing, there is nothing that they would love more than to design creative custom made T-shirts and artifacts! In lieu of my students responding to open-ended written prompts about literary texts, they can actually create visual real-world designs in response to some of the stories that they read."

Water Bottles for All
"providing water bottles for students will certainly provide both hydration and relief to our students who otherwise would not consume any water during the course of the school day."
-Mrs. Farrer
Unity is Possible
This projects provides each student with a book that "focuses on unity, community, and the ability to make a difference despite inequities. It will serve as an example to our students within them lies worth and greatness."
-Mrs. Farrar
