Panda Prints
March 19, 2021
Dear Sherwood Community,
We are ecstatic to welcome more students back to the building, and for a longer period of time! As you know our pivot back to full day in-person instruction begins on Tuesday, April 6th. We are also excited to provide our students in the virtual school a full day of live instruction!
We take safety very seriously and have been creating a comprehensive plan to welcome everyone back with the highest adherence to safety protocols with a focus on both academic learning and social-emotional health. We will be sending more detailed information regarding lunch and recess schedules and arrival/dismissal procedures after break on March 30th.
Lastly, we greatly appreciate the continued support and communication from parents. It is a pleasure to be a part of this community.
Wash your hands.
Wear a mask.
Watch your distance.
Stay safe everyone!
Panda Pride,
Rachel & Kevin

REEL 112 Film Festival May 2021
Did you know that the 112 Education Foundation has been sponsoring a middle school film festival since 2016?! Since its inception, the film festival has involved hundreds of District 112 student filmmakers - some have even gone on to premiere films at Google headquarters and international film festivals in Las Vegas and India!
This year, for the first time ever, the REEL 112 Film Festival will include submissions from all grade levels and also District 112 staff. This is the 112 Education Foundation’s 25th year anniversary and we want to celebrate their support of students and creative endeavors!
All films must be submitted by Friday, April 9th. The 2021 virtual REEL 112 Film Festival will take place on Monday, May 24, 2021. Start time TBD. Keep an eye out for updated information over the coming weeks!
If students are interested in creating and submitting an original film, please carefully review the enclosed documents:
We look forward to celebrating creativity and filmmaking with you during our festival in May!
If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Helen Weiss at hweiss@nssd112.org.
