Field Trip

We are going to the Outdoor Learning Center on Monday, April 18th and picnicking at school . Students MUST wear jeans and closed-toe shoes for the walking trails. Also, send a sack lunch. Mrs. Eichenberger, Mrs. Jacobs, and Mrs. Walker’s classes are going from 9:15 –12:00 am and Ms. Vick’s and Ms. Haroldon’s classes are going form 11:30 am -2:15 pm. If you would like to volunteer, please contact your child's teacher. Volunteers must have a completed background check and will be selected on a first come first serve basis.

Plano Enrichment Program (PEP) – Summer School

PEP Summer Classes held June 8 – June 30th, Monday-Fridays from 8:30-12:30 p.m.

· Transportation is provided from Wells to the PEP campus (Skaggs) and back to Wells after 12:30

· Financial Assistance for students who qualify for the free/reduced meals program this year

· Lots of fun enrichment class opportunities and "building block" courses to reinforce grade level skills.

· (If your child has been recommended for another summer program, schedule and locations may be different than the PEP courses above.)

· SUMMER SCHOOL ENROLLMENT DEADLINE: May 13th for all programs.

Online registration is only available for current PISD students. When you register online, you may select one or two classes. They must be selected at the same time you are enrolling. If you register for one class online and decide later to add another class, you must contact the summer school office at (469) 752-8017 or

Shoe Tying

As we enter April (last two months of school! Can you believe it?!), we are really trying to encourage our students to be independent in tying their shoes. Please continue to work with your children at home on tying their shoes independently. We appreciate your help!

Learning Targets

Language Arts: I can recognize and write the letters K and U, read and write the star words little, said, here, and was, and use adjectives to describe a noun.

Math: I can use a variety of tools to compare objects by length, height, and weight.

Science: I can tell what botanists does and explain tools that they need to do their job.
