Costumes @ SRES
Halloween is coming soon and is on Saturday this year. At SRES, TK-6 students can wear simple costumes to school on Thursday, October 29 or Friday, October 30, if they choose to do so. Since these are regular instructional days at school, students will be expected to fully participate in learning as well as P.E. and other routine school activities.
Please follow these rules in regards to costumes:
Costumes should be simple. Please consider that allowing your child to wear his/her costume to school may result in parts being lost or damaged during regular school activities (recess, etc.). Please make sure costumes do not inhibit their ability to use the restroom.
Costume masks (other than our masks for health and safety) and full facial makeup should not be worn to school. If they are, they will need to be removed.
Positive costumes are encouraged. Students can not wear costumes that are violent or gruesome (containing fake blood, gore, etc). This is not appropriate for the school environment and may frighten our smallest Coyotes.
Fake weapons such as guns, swords, or daggers may not be brought to school. If students have inappropriate costumes or props, they will be confiscated and will need to be picked up by a parent from school administration.
We are excited to have some fun with costumes at school, however, please do not bring food or treats to school for sharing. Thank you for your support and cooperation. We are looking forward to a wonderful and safe celebration!
Picture Retakes are scheduled for Monday, 11/30 & Tuesday, 12/01.
Pictures will be processed and sent home with your student(s) when they are ready.
After receiving your student's picture, if you would like to do retakes, please return the purchased pictures with your student on re-take day.
If your student missed picture day, they can take a picture on picture retake day.
If you weren't able to order a picture on or before picture day, you will receive a proof sheet of your student's image. The proof sheet will have instructions on how to order after the fact. All pictures and proofs will go to the student's teacher when they are ready.
RVC students can check into the office during 8:00 - 12:00 a.m. on either day to take a picture.
