Risen
For Easter Day
If you are looking
for a blessing,
do not linger
here.
Here
is only
emptiness,
a hollow,
a husk
where a blessing
used to be.
This blessing
was not content
in its confinement.
It could not abide
its isolation,
the unrelenting silence,
the pressing stench
of death.
So if it is
a blessing
you seek,
open your own
mouth.
Fill your lungs
with the air
this new
morning brings
and then
release it
with a cry.
Hear how the blessing
breaks forth
in your own voice,
how your own lips
form every word
you never dreamed
to say.
See how the blessing
circles back again,
wanting you to
repeat it,
but louder,
how it draws you,
pulls you,
sends you
to proclaim
its only word:
Risen.
Risen.
Risen.

Harvesters Christian Fellowship Group -- Fridays at 6 pm
Iron Sharpens Iron.
Harvesters is intended to build community among Christians at Nazareth College. In fellowship, we encourage and sharpen one another in our constant pursuit of intimacy with God. We are called to ‘harvest the field’ that God has placed us in. By responding to this call with passionate worship, prayer, and service, we strive to bring revival and unity to our campus and beyond. Ultimately, our vision is to be our generation’s demonstration of an Acts church - a growing and maturing body of believers living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We meet every Friday starting Friday September 1st in the GAC Community Room (first floor). Our time together consists of prayer, worship, and a study of scripture. If you enjoy pizza, ping pong, and healthy discussion, come join us! All are welcome.
"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few." - Matthew 9:37
"Don't you have a saying, 'It's still four months until harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." - John 4:35
