Note from Mrs. Smith
This week will be a short note from me. I want to just say that your children and this school are incredibly special. When I walk up and down the halls in the building, students say "Good morning, Mrs. Smith." They have manners and follow rules. They are actively learning and asking questions about what they are learning. This is how a school should look. Active learning comes from engaging lessons planned by great teachers and well mannered kids come from wonderful adults in the home that teach them these skills. Thank you for the countless hours you put in to support your child with work. I send this message to you after pushing through 3 days of virtual learning. Virtual learning is hard in my house, and so I hope that you know that you are doing a great job! I see evidence of that every single day!
Tomorrow is the last chance to check Lost and Found to reclaim your missing jackets, sweatshirts, etc. All items will be near the front door from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Anything remaining after Saturday will be given to those in need.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Stay Strong! Stay Positive! Stay Well!
Sincerely,
AJ Smith

Hey 5th graders… Show Us Your Baby Face!
Every year, Hembree Springs celebrates its hawks leaving the nest with a collage of baby pictures. This tradition is lots of fun, as the kids get to guess who’s who from the set of photos.
This year, instead of a bulletin board, the students (both F2F and virtual) will get to see an electronic presentation of all the photos, and the student who guesses the most right will get to brag all the way to middle school!
Email your photos in .jpg, .gif, or other photo format, or any address any questions to vadgama@me.com with the subject “HSES Photo” by April 1st.
Tips for great photos:
- Include a photo of just one child, without other clues like siblings, etc.
- Send photo in the best resolution/quality that you have
