Malware
What it is and How to avoid it
What is Malware?
Malware is any malicious software. There are three different kinds of malware; Viruses, Trojan Horses and Spyware. Viruses copy themselves and can only spread through contact. The most common way these are spread is through email attachments. Trojan Horses are programs that seem legit but allow someone else to access your computer. They give you the program and something else. The person that can access your computer can do any number of things that they choose. The last kind, Spyware, is something that obtains personal information. It can do it through a keystroke recorder.
How to Avoid Malware
The best way to avoid Malware is an AntiVirus software. AntiVirus software quarantines viruses so that you can't access them and it can't access your computer. You can also avoid viruses by not opening email attachments that look suspicious or that have a weird name. If there is something that looks to good to be true, it probably is. Another way that you can avoid them is to have a Firewall. Firewalls can keep unauthorized websites from giving your computer viruses.
