Be Kind--Be Respectful--Be Responsible--Be Safe
We have had a wonderful year and are so proud of our cardinals!! Everyone has shown perseverance and flexibility as we worked to overcome many changes and challenges. It has been such a joy to see all of the growth made this school year. Thank you to our families for the ongoing support and collaboration. Please keep in the mind the LAST day of school is a HALF day on June 15th. We wish you a safe, healthy, and enjoyable summer!

Summer Opportunities
Prince William County Schools offers summer academic and enrichment opportunities for students in grades K-12. The summer program aims to provide students various educational opportunities that serve to mitigate summer learning loss and prepare students for future learning experiences, which ultimately leads to improved student achievement.

Kindergarten Registration & Screening
Registration
The link to register a kindergarten student is below. It lists everything you will need. Please be prepared. We enjoyed screening so many of our new Cardinals this month! We will set up another screening time for those who register between now and June.
Pictures below show the difference between enrolling a brand new student/family to Montclair and those that have older siblings. The process is different so please take a look.
Kindergarten Screening
From Nurse Sutton
If your student has medication in the clinic, it must be picked up by a parent or guardian before the last day of school, June 15th, 2022. Medications may not go home with students.
If medications are not picked up prior to the last day of school, they will be disposed of by school personnel. All medications, prescription and or over the counter, must be renewed in August for the 2022-2023 school year.
Students with health treatment plans must provide a new plan for the upcoming school year 2022-2023.
If your child has a medical condition that my require medication or treatment during the school day, please contact me at suttoncr@pwcs.edu to discuss the required paperwork that is required from your child’s physician.
Have a safe and healthy summer.
Thank you,
Cindi Sutton, RN, BSN, NCSN suttoncr@pwcs.edu

Monty Reminders
Dismissal Reminders - Car Riders and Walkers
As the weather warms up, I hope that most of our walkers will enjoy walking the whole way home. Just a reminder that being a walker should not mean that your child dismisses outside and then you pick them up each day in a car on the side of the building. If that is the case, you will need to be a car rider and join the car rider pick up in the parking lot. It is important that we follow procedures for the safety of all. I'm sure you can imagine what it would be like if everyone just decided to make their own rules for dismissal. Thank you for supporting our routines for safety!
PTCO News
The PTCO would like to wish everyone a wonderful summer and say THANK YOU for a great year! With your support we were able to purchase sensory tools, books, musical instruments, and treat our staff!
We are so grateful for all of you and your involvement with Montclair. Thank you to all our volunteers. We couldn't do it without you! Next year we look forward to bringing back some of our events and introducing some new ones starting with a fun run in the fall.
Enjoy the summer and we will see you soon!
