By: Tarsha
Hello everybody! Goff Gazette Newspaper Book Recommendation reporter Tarsha here, with a new book recommendation for you! But this week there’s a twist. I am going to be giving you guys a book that will be released this year. This book will be available to all on February 7th, 2017. Don’t worry, the author of this book has given a preview of what the book will be about.
King’s Cage, by Victoria Aveyard
Mare Barrow is a prisoner, powerless without her lightning, tormented by her mistakes. She lives at the mercy of a boy she once loved, a boy made of lies and betrayal. Now a king, Maven continues weaving his web in an attempt to maintain control over his country, and his prisoner. As Mare remains trapped in the palace, the remnants of the Red Rebellion continue organizing and expanding. As they prepare for war, no longer able to linger in the shadows, Cal (the exiled prince with his own claim on Mare's heart) will stop at nothing to bring her back. In this breathless new novel from the bestselling author of the Red Queen series, blood will turn on blood and allegiances will be tested on every side. If the Lightning Girl's spark is gone, who will light the way for the rebellion.

Question: For weeks, I have felt insecure in this school. I’ve been judged and called names. How do I stop myself from feeling this way and telling people in this school?
Answer: Without physicality, stand up for yourself. If you are getting bullied deliberately, you need to stand your ground and tell them to back off. If that doesn’t work then you can tell some of your friends to help you. Lot’s of times it is embarrassing to tell the teacher because they can bully you more calling you a “snitch” or something, but wouldn’t you rather be away from them? The best choice is to tell an authority figure.
Question: Okay, so there is this boy I think I like, but I haven’t exactly ever spoken to him. I want to but I don’t know how, what do I do?
Answer: Since, you said that you think you like him, but you don’t know if you actually do. You might want to consider talking to him as a friend. Who knows you guys might become really close, and then you can take things from there. However, if you began to realize that it is awkward talking to him, then you’ll know that he wasn’t the one for you. In a relationship communication is key, and if you don’t have it then there really is no relationship, only the title. In the long run the title won’t mean anything. - The Omega
Question: How do you agree to disagree with someone?
Answer: Say that you are having a disagreement with someone, and you both feel that you’re right. Since, you both believe you are right then it’s hard to point out who is right and who isn’t. Especially in a topic like sports, everyone has there own opinion. In that case you could just say “Let’s agree to disagree”, instead of yelling at each saying your team is better. In most cases it’s best to just come out and say let’s agree to disagree. That way both of you will drop the subject, and move on. - The Omega
Question: What is the latest fashion? For example, how to wear your hair and such.
Answer: In all honesty everyone has there own opinion about what’s in and out. One magazine would say that denim and curly hair is in and the other would say it’s out. Truth is you can’t really win when it comes to fashion, because everyone has their own opinion about it. I find that what never goes out of fashion is confidence. Confidence is key in any outfit. Everyone wants to feel confident in what they wear, so wear what you want and don’t let anyone tear you done. There’s always going to be that one person that says your outfit is horrible, but as long as you believe in yourself and what you’re wearing that’s all that matters. -The Omega
