School and Community
The Importance of Community Relationships
What is a School Community?
A school community involves all individuals, groups, businesses, and organizations who invest in the well-being of a public school and its community. The school community includes school administrators, teachers, and staff members. They also includes students who attend the school and their parents and families, local residents, school-board members, city officials, and elected representatives, “booster clubs,” charitable foundations, and volunteer school-improvement committees.
