Dear Hart Families,
We have had a great week back from Spring break. We hope that your family enjoyed your time creating lifelong memories. Our Friday is going to be packed with fun and learning. First, we will kick off our morning with Reading with the Leopards. This is an opportunity for our High School students from various sports to visit our campus, read to our students, and answer questions. This is a great tradition and another example of our strong community. At 8:45, we will have Hart Beat where we will celebrate our character trait of FAIRNESS and our Leopard P.R.I.D.E. leaders. It is a great day to be a Hart Leopard. Don't forget to wear green!
If you have a chance, please come by and check out our Lost & Found. It is overflowing, and we will be donating anything that is left to Allen Community Outreach. Next week, we will have our Spring Book Fair. The money raised during the book fair will be used to increase our Non-Fiction collection for the Hart Library and to help provide professional development for our teachers. Thank you in advance for your support.

Spring Pictures will be April 4th and 5th. We will NOT have makeups for Spring Pictures, so please make sure your child is at school and on time for pictures. This picture will be used in the yearbook for any student that is new, missed fall pictures, or asked for a re-take.
April 4th - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade
April 5th - Kindergarten and 4th grade
After pictures are taken, you will receive an email from CareyLynn Photography where you can order spring pictures. If you have any questions regarding our upcoming pictures, please contact Janean Mancini at 469.742.8200 or janean_mancini@lovejyisd.net.
It is time to start collecting the wonderful memories of our students for the yearbook. In an effort to be as organized as possible, we ask that you follow a few guidelines for submission if you would like for your photos to be considered.
Every photo must include the following:
Student name
Homeroom Teacher
Grade
All submissions should be school related activities i.e. holiday parties, talent show, Hart Beat, reading with the Leopards etc.
Please do not send more than 2 - 3 photos for consideration.

Hello, Hart Families. We conduct Fire Drills every month to insure the safety of our students and to create mind muscle memory that will help prevent panic during an actual event. We conducted March’s drill on Tuesday, March 14th. During the drill the students and teachers were faced with an obstacle at one of the exits resembling the fire being in that area and had to redirect to another exit. We also had students separated from their homeroom class because they were in the library or in multiple pull out classes. We were able to evacuate the building in less than 90 seconds despite the obstacle that was presented and had full accountability of students and staff in under 5 minutes with great communication between staff members. These times show a great sense of urgency and awareness. Our practice drills are showing great improvement, and we are very proud of our students and staff for keeping safety at the forefront.

As a reminder, please do not send your child to school if he/she has:
o A fever of 100.0F degrees or greater
o Vomiting or Diarrhea
o An infection that requires antibiotics (i.e. Strep throat, bronchitis, etc.) unless they have been on antibiotics for a full 24 hours.
If you have any questions, info about your child I need to know, or your child tests positive for anything, feel free to contact me. Thank you for helping me keep Hart healthy!
Thank you for your interest in serving on the Hart Elementary PTO board next year. Our mission is to encourage a thriving partnership between parents, teachers, and administration to enhance the education of every student, while aiding them in achieving their highest potential.
Our goals as a PTO are to CONNECT Lovejoy families and educators, ENRICH students' education, and SERVE in volunteer roles which benefit students and staff. We are 100% parent powered and want YOU to join us!
There are opportunities to serve on a committee or on the board. Please review the information below and indicate your areas of interest.
The BOARD meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:30am with a member meeting following at 10:30am.
