Principal's Message

Hello, Parents and Guardians of the Pawsome Pumas,

We are glad to share some exciting news with you. As a way to enhance our communication regarding the amazing learning and activities that are happening at Prairie, we are working with Lindholm to create a Prairie Facebook Page. Now I know that you are saying don't we already have one? There are actually two pages that were used in the past. The new page will hopefully be up and running in the upcoming weeks.

The Third Annual Black History Program and the Second Annual Read Across America events were huge successes at Prairie. Each class had the opportunity to share their learning. Here are the prominent African Americans that our scholars learned about:

Bo Diddley

Faith Ringgold

Mae Jemison

Meb Keflezighi

Jackie Robinson

Debie Thomas

Michael Jordan

Jacob Lawrence

Frederick Douglas

Katherine Johnson

Marva Collins

The Golden Readers repeated as the Battle Of The Books CHAMPIONS!!!

We continued our celebration with crazy sock day, hats and bow ties, Wacky Wednesday, and College Apparel Day.

Our scholars loved having a surprise visit from The Cat In The Hat (School Board Member Amanda Roddy)

Forward Exam: The Forward Exam will be the week of March 19th. More information will be forthcoming in regards to how you can support our 3rd-grade through 5th-grade scholars on the yearly statewide assessment.

Have a Pawsome Weekend and enjoy your families and the weather.
