New Procedures for Arrival & Dismissal

Arrival: To support social distancing and supervision, students arriving before 8:35am will have designated spots to line up based on grade level and class. Students will line up on the blacktop behind the school, and the playground will be closed before and after school.

Students can enter the building as early as 8:35am using different entrances based on grade. When entering the building, students will use hand sanitizer at the entrance and walk straight to their classes to prepare for the start of the day. If dropping your child off by car, bike riders or walkers, please have your child arrive as close to 8:40am as possible.

In the beginning of learning these new procedures, teachers and staff will be available in the mornings to help students locate their line-up spot and entrance to the building.

Dismissal: Students will exit the building in a staggered release based on mode of transportation. Bus riders/day-care pickup, followed by walkers/bike riders, and then car pickup. The Parent Pick-Up car lane will be organized to include a designated loading zone for students on the Northwest side of the building only. We ask that students and parents leave immediately after school.

Teachers will also be asking how your child will typically get home we so can prepare an organized dismissal.

Traffic Flow

Included is a traffic flow map for our new location. Parents who are dropping off or picking up their child(ren) for school will need to enter from Robbins Road and move around the school to our Parent Drop-off/Pick-up Lane on the Northeast side of the building.

Our buses and the vans/shuttles for after school care will use our bus loop and enter from the Fort Street side.

We will have staff members outside the first week to help direct the flow of traffic and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work through our new procedures.

School Lunch & Take Home Meals

At this time, all school meals are free through December 2020. In addition, Take Home Meals will be available for those students who eat a school lunch. This is to supplement lunches on those days students are learning at home. Students can pick up their sack lunch at the end of each in-person learning day.

Please check your child's backpack when they arrive home and put any sack meals into the refrigerator.

Starting January 2021, the funding for this program will end and we will return to charging for meal services based upon student eligibility status or school status.
