What's going on...

October is here and we are loving exploring the weather and a ton of fun subjects in 2nd grade. Here is a snapshot of our week and a few things to come this month!!

This week...

**The class has been studying bullying and what to do if we see it, place value to the hundreds place, and non-fiction reading and writing.

**Wednesday we spent 30 minutes in the beautiful sunshine walking with everyone for Walk to School day.

**Thursday we celebrated Dalton's birthday and worker hard on our early release day.

Coming soon...

*Next week we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week for the fight against drug and alcohol abuse

*TRUNK OR TREAT is next Friday, October 18th from 5:30-7:30. There is still time to sponsor a trunk or donate candy. Please just email or send in goodies and I will let the right people know!!

**CONFERENCES are on Wednesday and Thursday, October 23rd and 24th...please note there is no school Thursday or Friday that week. Be on the lookout next week for your conference time reminder.

Just a reminder...

**keep working on basic + and - facts, spelling, and reading every night to keep those brains sharp and ready for what is next!!

**don't forget to track pages and books for our Book-It! and Price Chopper pages incentives.

**it is getting cooler... send a jacket for those cooler mornings!!

Bryan, Dillon, Stephany, and Victoria have already earned a free Pizza Hut Personal Pan Pizza for turning in their book slips. Way to go!!

Several students are well on their way to earning lunch in the classroom for turning in homework each week...keep up the good work!!
