As spring is quickly approaching, we will have some fun this week exploring wind and rainbows. How are rainbows made? Can we make one in our classroom? We will do some experiments in the classroom with colors and rainbows. What happens when you color with a black marker on a coffee filter and dip the coffee filter in water? Do you think it might make a rainbow? We will also explore wind. Is wind something we can see or feel? Can the wind move all objects? The kindergarten children will make some predictions about what objects can be moved with air. We will use straws, balloons, water, and various other objects to test our hypothesis. In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, the Kindergarten children will be baking Irish Soda bread. The books we will read this week include The Wind Blew and A Rainbow of My Own.
