Yes, Virginia the Musical

Sunday, Dec 16th, 2-4pm

Burgin Independent Gym

The Burgin Independent Middle School Drama Club will be performing the Christmas musical Yes, Virginia. The musical Yes, Virginia is based on the true story of Virginia O’Hanlon who in 1897 wrote a letter to the newspaper; The New York Sun asking the famous question “Is there a Santa Claus?” This letter inspired one of the most famous newspaper editorials of all time. As part of their commitment to arts education Macy’s Department store has made Yes, Virginia the Musical available for schools to preform royalty free this Christmas. Burgin Drama Club has also been selected to receive a $1,000 grant from Macy’s to help us put on our production.
