FROM THE PRINCIPAL...TONY WHITE
This time of year means many things to many people, and one common theme that comes up in December is the idea of family. There is nothing more important than family. We take the qualities of the family dynamics we create and enjoy at home and measure things like places of worship, work, and our children's school against them. The structures that align with these values tend to be the ones we are fondest of. Families look out for each other wanting the very best, making decisions that benefit more than ourselves, are open and honest, and places where we feel we can be who we truly are. The purpose of our work is that Norton Creek be this place for your Eagles and for you. This work is completely our pleasure. Kids deserve a great school, people deserve a great place to work, and families deserve a school they can trust.
As you head on winter break, please, enjoy these special days together with your families and friends doing the things that bring smiles to your faces and warmth to your hearts on these chilly days. After all, every one of you deserve it. I wish you all the Happiest of Holidays and a fun, restful break! See you in 2020!
Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

HOLIDAY RECYCLING (K-5) mjwesner@ymail.com, angpigoni@gmail.com
Our Earth Saving Eagles enjoyed a presentation on holiday recycling opportunities last week. In addition, any broken or unwanted holiday lights can be recycled at school! From December 12th through the week of January 10th, there will be a bin to collect lights outside the main entrance. Please see flyers below for some great ideas and information.

PushCoin directions can be found on the District website under the Parent pull down menu under Webstore/Pushcoin. Per District policy, tuition payments cannot be accepted at Norton Creek. If you would like to set up ADK monthly auto pay, please contact Wendy Sedwick at 331-228-4927. ADK tuition payments are billed in PushCoin on the first of each month and are due on the 15th of each month through April 15th.
IMPORTANT COLD WEATHER & OUTSIDE RECESS INFORMATION
Per District policy, we will be going outside for recess as long as the temperature (with wind chill) is above 0 F and it is not raining. With that in mind, please make sure your child is dressed to go outside on days when it is cold, snowy or windy. Students should bring outerwear to school in a bag to put on before recess. Please make sure they have hats, gloves, scarves, snow pants and boots if they want to play in the snow. Don’t forget to label your child’s outerwear so it does not end up in the Lost and Found.
