Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
April 6th, 2022
What is UDL?
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a scientifically valid framework for guiding educational practice that:
(a) provides flexibility in the ways information is presented, in the ways students respond or demonstrate knowledge and skills, and in the ways students are engaged; and
(b) reduces barriers in instruction, provides appropriate accommodations, supports, and challenges, and maintains high achievement expectations for all students, including students with disabilities and students who are limited English proficient.
(Higher Education Opportunity Act)

Our Training Facilitators
We are joining forces to provide a robust training on Universal Design for Learning. Our varied experiences in implementing UDL and training teachers in our region on UDL have led us to collaborate on this project, with the goal of increasing our participants' understanding of what exactly UDL is and HOW to implement its' principles in our practice.
