Celebrating Fifty Years of Excellence - January 8, 2016

PBIS Survey

The GCPS discipline office has asked that we complete one final school-wide survey for PBIS that will be reviewed at our meeting next Wednesday. Please use the link below to complete the survey. [NOTE: We need this survey completed in order to get our CCRPI point so please complete this and it will improve our ranking. Thanks.]

Faculty Meeting Postponed to January 19

Routinely, our faculty meetings are held the week after my district meeting in order for me to share information. Since the district meeting was postponed to January 13, I am moving our faculty meeting ahead one week. We will meet Tuesday, January 19. January 12 will be a day for collaborative planning.

New attendance zone

At last night's GCPS Board meeting, the new boundary map for MPES was posted. I spoke with Dr. McClure, our Board member, and he indicated this should address concerns from both MPES and Camp Creek as best as possible. I agreed and thanked him for his advocacy.

The revised map is below. I will send out a better copy once I receive one from the district. This was taken from my phone.

50 Year Celebration Committee

The date has been set - Saturday, April 16, at 2:00 PM. If you would like to be a part of the planning committee for this event, please let me know. Our first meeting will be Thursday, February 11 @ 3:00 PM.

Until then, Amanda and Heather are preparing formal invitation cards to go out to district office staff, retired teachers, and former administrators so they can make plans to attend. We will also push this out electronically to inform as many as possible through social media.

Breakfast compliments of State Representative B.J. Pak

Lilburn-area State Legislator B.J. Pak is providing breakfast for us next Friday. Please stop by the lounge and enjoy. I explained this will in no way express my endorsement of his campaign for re-election. However, we will always take free food with extreme gratitude.
