Dear Students, Parents & Learning Coaches
Happy April! It is springtime and our spring break is next week. I hope you take time next week to rest and recharge. Our April is action packed!
To start us out, April’s word is Creative. We want to be able to focus on the creativity around us as well as our own creativity. Look for the creativity in nature or in the architecture around you. Think of ways that you can add a creative flare to your dinner by adding a little food coloring or hair style by adding a little ribbon or some extra rubber bands. 😊 This month we are offering a little creativity in our WAVA clubs by offering Music Club for 6-8th grade!
TutorMe is a new program we are excited to offer our 6-12th grade students. It allows students to access 8 hours of free 24 hour/7 days a week tutoring in all subjects. Once you sign up you are instantly connected with tutors that are experts in the fields you need help in. There is even a writing lab that you can submit written assignments to for help with editing. This is an amazing tool that you must take advantage of. This month we have our WAVA 8 Count TutorMe Dance Challenge, have your student use 8 hours of tutoring for a chance to win prizes!
We held our WAVA Choice Night to share with families more about Flex Options coming to WAVA. If you are interested you can listen to the recording and make sure you fill out the interest form for Flexible Programming. We will continue to share information on our Flexible Programming on our WAVA Bulletin and communications.
As we head into April we continue to plan for our annual SBA state testing to start. Much of what will be required this year is still being decided on by OSPI. As we plan for testing, please be assured that we are taking the health and safety of your student into account. If you have concerns please reach out to your homeroom teacher.
