  • No one person can give more than $2,000 to a candidate

  • If you give more than $200, name must be made public

  • Citizens may give $3 of taxes each year to campaign fund

  • FEC makes this $ available to candidates

  • If candidate accepts public funds, they cannot get $ from private sources

Regulations for PACs

  • PACs can give up to $5,000 to candidates in primaries

  • PACs can spend as much as they want on their own
